A lot of people have heard the name Reiki, but many still don’t know what Reiki is or what it means.
Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-key’, means "Life Force Energy."
The Art of Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique for energy healing. Reiki is based on the belief that a practitioner has the ability to channel energy into another person, animal or object, by means of touch along with positive intention. This activates the healing process that helps to clear blockages & to restore the body, mind and spirit, leaving you with the feeling of balance, calmness and the overall feeling of being grounded.
The Reiki Sanskrit symbols are thought to be thousands of years old. They were rediscovered in Japan in the late 1800’s by a Japanese healer, Mikao Usui and are the foundation of the practice of the Usui System of Natural Healing.
